Hello, I’m Stephanie. I am the Budget/Business Analyst. When I am not assisting faculty, staff, and students, I enjoy going to Disneyland (or Univeral Studios and Six Flags), cuddling up in bed with my Maltipoo Pug mix Rocky, and binge-watching Modern Family with my family.

Anabel Diaz
Director of Administration and Finance
Hi! I’m Anabel and I help support the various departments under CEE including the administrative office, student services, research administration and labs. I also work closely with our faculty and students and act as liaison with Viterbi and central USC. I’m responsible for new hires, space assignments (including PhD offices), facilities and everything else in between. Outside of work I enjoy dancing, USC football and spending time with my family and rescues, Chewy and Pixy.

Vanessa Fonseca
Procurement Specialist
Hello, I’m Vanessa. I am the procurement specialist for the Research Administrators. My role primarily involves aiding faculty and staff with reimbursements, purchasing essentials, and managing various other administrative necessities that ensure the smooth operation of our institution. Outside the office, I am an avid outdoors enthusiast; I enjoy exploring nature's beauty by hiking through Griffith Park and the Santa Monica Mountains. I am a music-goer; I love going to concerts. At home, my love for animals shines through in my care for feline friends.

Salina Palacios
Hello, I’m Salina and I provide high-level administrative support to the department chair and business manager. I help coordinate faculty affairs including promotions alongside the dean’s office. I also coordinate all department events, maintain department website and newsletter, coordinate and schedule meetings and agenda materials, and manage student workers. My most favorite thing to do is spend time with my family and watch my children grow. I also enjoy traveling and visiting new places.

Spencer Abrams
Senior Instructional Lab Technician
Hi, I'm Spencer. I manage several of the teaching lab spaces to ensure that lab sessions are carried out safely and efficiently. I'm in charge of setting up and maintaining lab equipment as well as procurement and inventory management. In my free time, I love to surf, hike, and try new recipes.

Fidel Hurtado
Senior Instructional Lab Technician
Hi, I'm Fidel, and I coordinate lab activities and assist multiple ongoing research activities by the department as well as SMRL projects. I am responsible for lab safety & equipment maintenance and procure tools, supplies and materials as needed. I supervise work by lab technicians and student workers. I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my wife and four daughters.
