Southern California Civil & Environmental Engineering Research Symposium (SoCal CEERS)

The Southern California Civil and Environmental Engineering Research Symposium (SoCal CEERS) aims to foster a space for student-initiated research conversations in the Southern California region. Every year, we invite undergraduate and graduate students from local universities to join us in presenting and sharing their research.

Originally established as the "Astani Research Symposium" in 2022, we quickly realized the power of gathering research-minded students throughout the region, not just at USC. Now in its third year, we proudly bring you this annual event in collaboration with our CEE counterparts at UCLA, UC Irvine, and UC Riverside. This symposium is entirely organized by a PhD student committee comprised of members from each collaborating university.
