ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO JULY 29th @ 5:00PM!

8:45PM	Check-In
9:00AM	Welcome Ceremony Opening welcome address will be provided by the Astani Research Symposium Committee Chair, Mohamad Awada
9:15AM	Poster Sessions Participants will be organized and present to give presentations to judges and guests.
12:15PM	Lunch Break* Poster sessions will conclude. Posters will continue to be viewable, but participants will not be required to be present.
1:30PM	Research Collaboration Workshop The workshop will be led by Dr. de Barros, Director of Graduate Programs at the Astani Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. It will focus on having discussions between peers about collaborative opportunities and interdisciplinary work. Participants will practice collaboration by creating interdisciplinary research proposals in randomized groups. Refreshments will be provided.
4:00PM	Award Ceremony** A short ceremony to conclude the day, led by Dean Yortsos, Viterbi School Dean and Dr. Becerik-Gerber, Department Chair. Best Poster winners and Best Collaborative Proposal Winners will be announced.

*Boxed lunches will be provided for participants.

**Best Poster Winners will receive a monetary prize of $200. Best Collaborative Proposal Winners from the Collaboration Workshop activities will receive a monetary award of $500 to be split among the group.

The Astani Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering will cover the cost and print posters for all accepted abstracts.* To use this service, the poster file must use the template and be submitted by the deadline listed below.
