Saba Khashe is a PhD candidate working under the supervision of Dr. Burcin Becerik Gerber. Her research focuses on enabling human-building communication to promote occupants’ pro-environmental behavior. Her goal is to transform buildings into interactive living spaces that communicate with their occupants and influence the ways that they behave in buildings.
Saba received a Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering from University of Tehran in 2010, a Master’s degree in Construction Engineering and Management from USC in 2013, and a Master’s degree in Green Technology from USC in 2017. She is going to graduate in December 2017. During her PhD, she has published a number of research papers in peer-reviewed journals and received the 2017 Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award from the Sonny Astani Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering.
In her free time, Saba enjoys hiking, watching movies, and traveling to explore new places, cultures and natural beauties.
